About Joseph

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he's lived in the DC area since 2015. Prior to his PhD studies, he worked in the non-profit and public research sectors, conducting analysis and supporting programs to prevent violent extremism. Most recently, he supported civil society organizations working to prevent hate-fueled violence in the United States. Before that, he was a policy strategist at MITRE, where he provided policy planning support to the U.S. government and managed an independent research project.

In his free time, you can probably find Joseph gardening, biking, or trying to get better at photography.
